If you’ve attended or exhibited at one of our conventions in the past year or so, you’re well aware of how sophisticated today’s students are becoming. You’re also aware of how quickly our conventions are growing! If you’ve not seen us recently, we urge you back to our 2016 spring conventions in Minneapolis and Los Angeles. If you’ve just discovered our organization consider attending our convention and learn about scholastic journalism and the students and advisers making it an exciting field!
Today’s scholastic publications staffs include not only dedicated writers and editors, but also knowledgeable graphic designers, photographers, videographers, hardware/software specialists and web designers.
Publications advisers and editors decide what news gets read by an entire high school or college campus. Movie and music reviews persuade the most active consumers what to see and hear. Can you afford not to communicate with this important market?
Each ACP/CMA National College Journalism Convention attracts about 1,500 of the nation’s top collegiate publication staffers and their advisers. The JEA/NSPA Spring National High School Journalism Convention brings in around 5,000 delegates. These students are not only actively pursuing careers as tomorrow’s media professionals, but also learning how to be effective and discriminating consumers of the media and the news.
JEA/NSPA registration books reach more than 8,000 high school publications. The official program sits in the hand of each delegate throughout the convention. Coupled with a presence in the exhibit hall, your message is bound to be heard.
I urge you to consider attending a spring or fall JEA/NSPA convention; or the fall ACP/CMA convention, to keep up with the students involved in scholastic media. Make sure you can get a spot in the exhibit hall – return the exhibitor contract completed with payment as soon as they are available. We cannot guarantee exhibit or advertising space or even hotel rooms will be available still by the deadline dates. Jump on board and help make our convention one of the most exciting learning experiences the students and advisers will have.
If you would like more information about our organizations or to receive a copy of exhibitor/sponsorship contracts, past programs, registration booklets or samples of other publications, contact us or just browse the rest of our website to see what we’re up to.
