NSPA View

NSPA View is a feature of the NSPA Web site that gives our visitors a chance to see regularly updated examples of the latest work being done by student journalists at our member publications, and gives those journalists a chance to have their work seen by thousands of our visitors.

Look in the left column of any NSPA Web page to see the latest images. If you're looking to add your work to NSPA View - whether it be a photo, page design, graphic or illustration - you're in the right place. Just fill out the form below to get started.

Only students at current NSPA member publications can have their work published in NSPA View. Click here to check your membership status.

Here's how it works:

  • Verify that your publication is a current member of NSPA.
  • Fill out the form below and attach your photo, design or graphic.
  • That's it! The next time NSPA View is updated, your work could be on display for studentpress.org's more than 1,000 daily visitors.

NSPA View Terms of Usage

  • Only TIFF, JPEG or PDF files will be accepted. Vertical images should be at least 500 pixels tall; horizontal images should be at least 500 pixels wide. Larger files will be resized before posting to NSPA View.
  • Only work produced by and for publications which are current members of NSPA at the time the work is submitted will be published.
  • Files should be from a recent issue of your publication, or if your staff policy allows, from an upcoming issue. Yearbooks and magazines may submit spreads in PDF format from either their most recently published book or the current-school-year, yet-to-be-published edition.
  • Inclusion of one's work in NSPA View should not be considered an award of any sort. Submission of files to NSPA View will not result in their being entered in any of NSPA's contests.
  • We do not guarantee that any work submitted to NSPA View will be published. We reserve the right to refuse any file for any reason, including but not limited to content inappropriate for our audience, failure to follow directions or quality considerations.
  • It is the responsibility of those submitting content to NSPA View to verify that our publication of the work will not violate any copyright restrictions or policies set forth by your publication staff, adviser, or school administration. Files will be removed immediately if they are found to be in violation of such a policy.
  • If there is any question about the true origin and/or creator of a submitted file, the e-mail address on record for the publication specified (usually the adviser of the publication) will be contacted to verify that the work was indeed produced by and for that publication. Any work later found to be submitted under false pretenses, with regard to either the author of the work or the publication for which the work was produced, will be immediately removed.
  • Files submitted to NSPA View are published on the photo-sharing site Flickr.com. The images are freely viewable by all visitors to both studentpress.org and Flickr.com. The photo-sharing service operated by Flickr.com is free and anyone is welcome to create their own galleries there. Also, the Flickr.com site is subject to occasional service outages which are beyond NSPA's control.
