ACP announces<\/strong> winners
in spring Clips & Clicks contest<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

MINNEAPOLIS \u2014 Associated Collegiate Press congratulates the spring 2021 winners of the new ACP Clips & Clicks contest \u2014 and the 10 schools earning Sweepstakes recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition, open to all ACP members, honors current work among student journalists, and the spring-semester winners encompass work produced from Jan. 1-May 15, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were 338 submissions in the spring competition, with 21 colleges and universities winning places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe judges consistently said they were very impressed with the quality of the entries submitted,\u201d associate director Gary Lundgren said. \u201cThe Clips & Clicks competition is new for ACP, and we were very pleased with the participation during the inaugural year, and we’re looking forward to next year.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judges were collegiate professors, collegiate student media advisers and professional journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sweepstakes winners represent the top 10 schools based on the number of awards earned in the Clips & Clicks contest in both the fall and spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The number of winners in each category was determined by the judges based on the quantity and quality of the entries. When calculating Sweepstakes, the following point scale was used \u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Place: 9
Third Place: 8<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Fourth Place: 7
Fifth Place: 6
Honorable mention: 5<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the fall contest, not enough entries were received in Broadcast: Sports Story <\/strong>and in Broadcast: Commentary <\/strong>categories <\/strong>to be judged. Those fall entries competed in the spring contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2021-22 competition launches in the fall, with a Dec. 17, 2021, deadline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
