Headlining our events<\/a><\/strong> is the nation’s largest gathering of scholastic journalists and their advisers \u2014 the National High School Journalism Convention.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presented in both fall and spring with our convention partner, Journalism Education Association,<\/a><\/strong> the conventions engage and support thousands of student journalists and educators with dozens of educational sessions, dynamic keynote speakers, critiques and contests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recent conventions have adapted to virtual presentations. For on-site conventions, the primary gathering space for the convention is its exhibit hall, with prime space for sponsors, who can expand their reach through social-media sponsorships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each convention reaches a crescendo with NSPA\u2019s awards presentations,<\/a><\/strong> including the prestigious Pacemaker Awards, Individual Awards and a convention Best of Show competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To engage with NSPA members in a workshop setting, consider supporting the Gloria Shields NSPA Media Workshop.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presented over a week each summer, the workshop engages some of the nation’s top journalism educators to train and inspire student journalists as they prepare for the year ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
