A team of professional at the Alaska Quarterly Review selected 12 finalists.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.studentpress.org\/nspa\/winners\/mpm12.html\">View list of finalists here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Judges commented that the best magazines showed exemplary literary and visual work, which complemented each other. Clean and accessible layouts invite the reader to spend time on each of the pieces and underline the themes of the magazines.<\/p>\n<p>The Pacemaker winners will be announced for the first time at the Spring JEA\/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention in San Francisco, April 25-28.
