{"id":4822,"date":"2017-02-16T11:00:59","date_gmt":"2017-02-16T17:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/studentpress.org\/nspa\/?p=4822"},"modified":"2017-02-15T13:47:54","modified_gmt":"2017-02-15T19:47:54","slug":"2016-magazine-pacemaker-finalists-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/studentpress.org\/nspa\/2016-magazine-pacemaker-finalists-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"2016 Magazine Pacemaker finalists announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MINNEAPOLIS \u2014\u00a0The National Scholastic Press Association has recognized <a href=\"http:\/\/studentpress.org\/nspa\/awards\/2016-magazine-pacemaker-finalists\/\">15 magazines<\/a> as finalists in the 2016 Magazine Pacemaker competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Pacemaker is the association\u2019s preeminent award and is often called the Pulitzer Prize of scholastic media,\u201d said Laura Widmer, executive director. \u201cNSPA is honored to recognize the best of the best.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Pacemaker has been awarded since 1927.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To select the 15 winning literary arts magazines, judges carefully studied entries submitted from 20 states.
