Three veteran advisers \u2014 two with students covering the pandemic and one who directs the Texas high school press association \u2014 were featured speakers in the ACP\/NSPA webinar on COVID-19 coverage on April 2, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amy DeVault,<\/strong> who advises the Sunflower newspaper, at Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas, shared insights on visuals and storytelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeanne Acton,<\/strong> journalism director, University Interscholastic League, Austin, Texas, offered specific, constructive advice on building high school coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Lisa Renze-Rhodes,<\/strong> adviser of the Ball State Daily News and Ball Bearings magazine, at Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana, shared advice on how to build collegiate coverage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The town-hall webinar included discussion of coverage\/stories already published\/aired. It offered story ideas and angles on coverage, and it concluded with a Q\/A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Pacemaker Master Class is a remote-learning series on coverage, trends and fundamentals across a spectrum of topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
