MINNEAPOLIS – The Associated Collegiate Press (ACP) is pleased to announce finalists in the 2015 Online Pacemaker competition.
Twenty-nine websites were selected from among 145 entries, which were divided into categories based on publication type and school enrollment.
Judges noted that the top competitors provided readers with a complete visual experience, utilizing graphics, powerful photography and polished multimedia to tell stories. Timely coverage of topics relevant to the audience was a must. The best sites also engaged audiences effectively on social media.
One judge said of one category, “Many of the sites … presented well-written news coverage, so many of the top spots were separated by design and ease of website use through navigation.â€
The Pacemaker winners will be announced for the first time at the ACP/CMA Fall National College Media Convention in Austin, Texas, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, 2015.
