The #ACLPA Disney Creativity Symposium is geared toward college designers, writers, marketers, advertisers and cartoonists looking to gain insight on the creative process and sharpen their skills. Students and advises are welcome.

The workshop fee is $40 in addition to convention registration.

Stuck in a creative rut? Having trouble translating your ideas into tangible work? Or maybe you’re wondering how to draw inspiration from your everyday surroundings?

The workshop will be led by Christopher Chapman, global creativity and innovation director at the Walt Disney Company. He will discuss disruptive innovation and give attendees hands-on experience with creative tools.

Symposium attendees will gain new skills and the confidence to overcome challenges using innovation and creative problem solving.

The Disney Creativity Symposium runs 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18.


Other sessions on creativity open to all convention attendees will be led by Kevin Fullerton, owner and creative director of Springboard Creative in Kansas City, Mo., and Linda Puntney, retired Journalism Education Association director and member of the College Media Association Hall of Fame.
