The Indiana Daily Student editor-in-chief is using her senior-thesis project to explore how collegiate newsrooms cover local news, and ACP is lending a hand.

Lydia Gerike, of Indiana University, Bloomington, is asking collegiate editors and advisers to complete her survey on the topic.

It’s a great topic to research, and it will help us take the pulse of how collegiate media are covering both campus and community.

The survey deadline is April 30.

Gerike is an IU senior majoring in journalism and international studies. The IDS editor this semester, she has worked there eight semesters. Gerike has interned for the Oregonian and Hartford Courant, and she will be a Pulliam Fellow at the Indianapolis Star after graduation in May.
