MINNEAPOLIS — The Associated Collegiate Press has named 425 finalists in its popular Individual Awards competition.
The winners will be announced virtually at 6 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. CT Thursday, Oct. 14, during the Fall National College Media Convention.
The ACP Individual Awards allow student journalists from ACP-member media outlets to compete in 43 different contests in nine different categories.
“The future of journalism and communications is bright if the quality of the work submitted in the ACP Individual Awards is any indication,” said ACP associate director Gary Lundgren. “These contests are highly competitive and it is a huge honor to be named a winner.
ACP has named ten finalists in each contest. Five winners and five honorable mentions will be recognized. The first-place winner in each contest receives a plaque. The other winners and honorable mentions receive certificates.
A handful of contests have fewer than 10 finalists, based on the quality and number of entries received.
