50 finalists were selected from a record 252 entries to the 2013 NSPA Online Pacemaker contest. The winners will be announced for the first time at the spring JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention in San Francisco on Saturday, April 27.

The finalists were chosen by a team of three professionals assembled from around the county. Entries were judged over the course several weeks, based on content, design, writing and editing, rich media and breaking news.
A full listing of comments from the Online Pacemaker judging team will be published after the spring convention.
