Judge’s comments: “Daily broadcasts should be more than glorified announcements and the finalists did just that. Many had a very professional look and great anchors. Be consistent with title bars and you must identify students and reporters when they appear on screen. Follow AP style especially when it comes to President Obama and teachers. Stories were interesting for the most part; some were a bit long. The lack of sports coverage was surprising especially when at least one team has a game everynight of the week it seems.The ones that included sports footage…Bravo.”

Judge’s comments: “Good information that covered the school and community. Good interviews that covered both students, staff, administration and community leaders. Remember rule of thirds. Though most were good stories, include more students and incorporate one fun segment. Identify all people being interviewed, you can not assume everyone in your school knows everyone else. Many broadcasts had huge title bars thet took up to much space. Be consistent with fonts and title bar information.”

Judge’s comments: “Good information and interviews that covered both students, staff, administration and community leaders. It seemed some broadcasts forgot their target audience and interviewed few students. Try to include at least one humorous or fun segement if possible. The anchors in the finalists shows were outstanding. Do not forget rule of thirds. Tone down the title bars they should not distract from the segments message.”
