In order to promote education about the recent Supreme Court ruling in Frederick v. Morse (the so-called “Bong Hits 4 Jesus” case), NSPA has partnered with the Journalism Education Association to offer a special one-time contest. Students may enter work that is an editorial/commentary, a cartoon or a news/feature package and win $300 for their school journalism program. But hurry – entries must be submitted by Oct. 29 to be eligible, and the winners will be announced at the Philadelphia convention.
