We’ve lowered tuition for the NSPA Summer Workshop!

The National Scholastic Press Association is excited to announce a lower price for our Summer Workshop, Storytelling: The Complete Package. Taking place at the University of Minnesota, July 28-31, the workshop is an opportunity for high school journalists to gain experience outside of the classroom to become well-rounded storytellers.

The early-bird registration price is now $289 and includes instruction, housing and access to necessary hardware, software and gear to complete projects. For local commuters who won’t be staying in the dorms, the price is $209. To receive this discounted price, you must register by June 10.

“This is a one-of-a-kind workshop and we wanted to make it affordable for student journalists.”
– Laura Widmer, NSPA’s Associate Director

Students will be put into small groups with other students and work closely with seasoned advisers and professional journalists to tackle a multifaceted story package that will be published by a Twin Cities media outlet upon workshop completion.

Instruction topics include: design, photography, alternative copywriting, social media and more.
