MINNEAPOLIS — The Associated Collegiate Press has named 388 finalists in its popular Individual Awards competition.
The winners will be announced at the ACP Awards Ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 18, at MediaFest25, the Fall National College Media Convention, in Washington, D.C.
The ACP Individual Awards recognize the outstanding achievements of individual students and small teams of journalists.
“The future of journalism and communications is bright if the quality of the work submitted in the ACP Individual Awards is any indication,” said ACP associate director Gary Lundgren. “These contests are highly competitive and it is a huge honor to be named a winner.
ACP names 10 finalists in each competition. Ultimately, five winners and five honorable mentions will be recognized. The first-place winner in each contest receives a plaque. The other winners and honorable mentions receive certificates.
After the winners are announced on Oct. 18, a gallery of the winners and honorable mentions will be shared on this website allowing student journalists and advisers to see all of the entries recognized in the competition.
