2023 Local Climate Change Reporting finalists

Sept. 18, 2023

National Scholastic Press Association announces the finalists in its 2023 Local Climate Change Reporting competition.

Individual Award winners will be announced at the JEA/NSPA Fall National High School Journalism Convention, in Boston, at the 3:30 p.m. awards ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 4.

This contest is in partnership with the George Mason University Center for Climate Change Communication.

All student journalists reporting on climate change as a local story are encouraged to use the Climate Matters in the Newsroom reporting resources, science-based reporting materials that are funded, in part, by the National Science Foundation. These materials can be used in award submissions.

A gallery of winners will be posted after the Nov. 4 announcement.
