MINNEAPOLIS – The National Scholastic Press Association is excited to announce the 2016 finalists in the Online Pacemaker competition.
The finalist websites contained a good mix of stories, photography, videos and audio, as well as podcasts. These sites also incorporated social media well, using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube to supplement their content and attract more readers. Finally, the winning sites had compelling content — stories that made the reader want to stay and keep reading the site, which can be a tricky feat to accomplish.
NSPA congratulates all finalists in this step towards winning scholastic journalism’s most prestigious award, the Pacemaker.
Pacemaker recipients will be announced at the JEA/NSPA Spring National High School Journalism Convention, April 14-17, 2016 in Los Angeles.
